Port Douglas’ close proximity to the Outer Barrier Reef means less travelling time and more fishing time

At Sublime Sportfishing Adventures we specialise in all types of light tackle sportfishing and will customise every trip that we do, whether you want a hardcore days’ sportfishing, or just a fun family day with complete beginners.

We can offer day trips out of Port Douglas through to 5-day liveaboard trips leaving from Cairns, Port Douglas, Cooktown or Lizard Island.

Popper fishing and stick baiting for GTs, Red Bass, Coral Trout, Jobfish, Mackerel and others.

Jigging and bottom fishing for Coral Trout, Nannygai, Red Emperor, Cobia, Spangled Emperor, Dogtooth Tuna, to name just a few.

Light tackle game fishing for Spanish Mackerel, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin and Sailfish (fly fishing is also an option).

Aspro is a 40-foot Blackwatch game boat with all modern conveniences and is ideally suited to doing multi-day trips, enabling you to fish the more remote sections of the Great Barrier Reef. Fishing all day and spending the evenings in the calm anchorages behind the reef we will make sure you maximise your fishing time.

Combine Aspro & Galeforce
There is also an option to combine these multi-day trips with our 5.5m Galeforce centre console for the ultimate GBR flats fishing adventure.

Our day trips usually start at 7.00am from the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina in Port Douglas and return around 4.30pm.

Our trips are all private charter, fully catered and quality tackle supplied.

We recommend you bring:
Reusable water bottle
Sun/weather protection (long sleeve shirt, sunscreen, hat, jacket)
Camera to capture the action
